The City of Chandler is a Phoenix suburb in the southeast part of the metropolitan area. Nestled up against the Town of Gilbert, many people group these two communities together bhowever each has their distinct qualities. Both have a population of about 250,000 and both have a downtown with an Old West charm. However among locals, Chandler, at 58 square miles, is not considered quite as upscale as Gilbert. Chandler has pretty neighborhoods , have some high-end neighborhoods with custom homes but considered a bit older than newer and more green Gilbert. The Town of Gilbert is just over 20 miles southeast of Phoenix or rather a 30 minute drive. The population is roughly 250,000 and until recently Gilbert maintained its Old West charm. In fact, the town used to be known as the ”Hay Shipping Capital of the World” due to all of the farm land. The McCormick Ranch is a pretty community in central Scottsdale known for its quaint neighborhood homes, pristine lake views (yes a lake) and a rich history.
