The Troon Village community features approximately 1,300 homes within 12 gated subdivisions, well suited to fit a variety of budgets and lifestyles. Homes in Troon range in size from a cozy 1300 square foot Patio and Townhomes homes on 3,500 square foot lots. Spacious, estate size homes can be over 8,000 square feet on lots ranging from 20,000 square feet and up. Smaller entry level townhomes for sale in Troon start over 800,000. Larger homes with lots over 20,000 square feet typically sell for between 1.4 and 2.5 million, depending on age and size of home. Homes in Troon selling over 4 million is not uncommon. As pretty as the communities are, many with communities within Troon with manned gates have reasonable HOA fees ranging from approximately $700.00 to $2,000.00 annually, with a whole variety of inviting golf play and social membership options available at the country club for a separate fee.
If you are not planning on joining the Troon Country Club, not to worry, many Troon residents also have access to tennis and a pool as part of their hoa fees; depending on the Troon neighborhood you select. Plus, there are year round hiking and biking trails and two family parks for all to enjoy.
Nestled in the northern foothills, Troon is typically listed in the top ten most desirable communities in North Scottsdale, one of the top 100 courses in the world and one of only 6 Premier Scottsdale communities with golf.
The homes here as you might imagine, feature an endless list of luxury amenities, including, while enjoying your outdoor kitchen for a barbecue with friends, you will likely being enjoying that meal with a gorgeous sunset over a scenic fairway with a backdrop of mountain vista views. But better than any view are the nice residents. Residents here are typically friendly and welcoming, be prepared to make friends with some great folks.
Part of Troon Village is the Troon Country Club, which shares1,400 acres of developed land with the home community. In operation since 1986, the now member owned, private club features a 9,000 square foot health and wellness center, completely remodeled in 2019, two tennis courts, 3 Pickleball courts, a heated, resort-style pool with Lagoon, heated year round to 88 degrees, dining and an extensive social calendar of member events. Highly certified and educated personal trainers are available along with over 20 complimentary group exercise classes.
You'll also find activities such as cooking classes, wine dinners, seasonal and holiday themed celebrations, hockey games, trivia night, invigorating hikes and wine blending classes. The residents in Troon range in age but the average age is 55 with typically two member households.
While you can find just about any amenity in this desert oasis community, if you want to get a taste of nightlife, it ís only a 10 mile drive or rather 20 minutes to Old Town Scottsdale. Old Town Scottsdale is where you'll find plenty of restaurants and shopping.
In the opposite direction is the Town of Carefree, about a 15-minute drive. The Old West Town of Cave Creek in about 20 minutes away.
Both the community of Troon Village and Troon North have world class golf courses, What is the difference between Troon and Troon North? In terms of golf courses, Troon has a spectacular 18 hole golf course and nearby country club with a private club membership and Troon North has two world class courses of equal beauty and skill required ñ each with 18 holes The two golf courses at Troon North are open to the Four Season resort , meaning less familiarity and more players staying at the Four Season playing the course and at times events such as weddings will occupy space at Troon North whereas Troon Village does not typically rent out the facilities for events.
